Benefits! I highly advise anybody with education aspirations to invest as much as humanly possible into your gi bill. I contributed $1800 back when it was the Montgomery GI Bill, and after exhausting that I was given an additional year under Post 9/11. $50,000 in college on an $1,800 investment is one hell of a return!
Cons
Commitment. I was stop lossed twice while serving. You have to realize that they will own you for four years and you have four years out where you're subject to recall.
