Pros
I cannot think of any. I did not find the benefits package to be on par with what other start ups offer.
Cons
- Those in leadership are hyper controlling and will micromanage your work, your desk, and the office environment even at a cost to employee productivity.
- Across the board there does not seem to be a cohesive plan or vision for the product or the company direction. You will have to redo projects as they try to put one together in real time. This should not be confused with being agile.
- Many members of leadership have known and worked together for some time creating a 'clique' of people too arrogant and defensive to hear outside perspectives, even if specifically hired to bring said perspective to the table.
- Culture seems best separated into 3 groups of people; those who bully, those who are bullied, and those who no longer work for welcome tech.
- The "we are a family" mentality is strong and the family is dysfunctional to the core. Say hello to gaslighting and manipulation.
