Pros

Opportunity to work in research recruitment.

Cons

This team is incredibly disorganized and led by someone who intentionally sabotages and allows for other members of the team to harass employees while they are learning. They had no initial resources for how to do the job, or best practices, I made them. They don't know how to teach someone to do the job and watch you struggle. They are passive aggressive in the way they handle every situation and will not have the courage to tell you what is wrong. The head of the department is always wanting to implement new things and instead of taking time to parse it out, just implements and expects everyone to catch up. They have no actual functioning system for tracking reporting and requests, it's just some system that was quickly implemented and isn't the most efficient, and you can tell, because they lose track of things often. This team has members who have a superiority complex and love to watch you struggle, but are all well over the age of 30. As a young person of color, I felt intentionally isolated and sabotaged by this team. I would avoid them at all costs. This team has no concept of work life balance and will sadly be online for 12 hours and expect you to go through 2 hours of messages, the first minute you log in. Unfortunately, the management is so sad, they don't even have the balls to tell you to your face what isn't working for them, so they will harass and sabotage you until you are at your wits end. If you are a young woman, you will likely be harassed by the older women on this team, who lack the skills to guide with kindness, or lead at all. There was also no opportunity to get out of this sad environment, so I was laid off with no explanation and they will continue to run this disorganized mess.

Pros

I absolutely loved volunteering here. The program was organized, and it made me so happy to bring a smile to people's faces.

Cons

Sometimes we did not have much contact with the heads of the volunteer program.

Pros

High Acuity patients Maintain Skillset Job security

Cons

Too many patients in a day and not enough time to spend with them. Minimal admin time to manage InBasket and patient needs. Frequently need to juggle a full and complex patient schedule with urgent test results and care coordination. Have to use personal PTO to cover holidays and any time the clinic is closed due to circumstances outside of our control. (weather, power outages, etc) Annual performance Bonuses are now being determined by online patient feedback scores.
