Pros

Engineering: * If you are the type of person who lives for soaking up knowledge like a sponge and also genuinely enjoys teaching others, you will excel at Tuition.io. The engineering team is highly talented; the bar is set for subsequent employees. * We move fast and break things, like most other successful startups. Not only is our software development heavily iterative but also our processes evolve constantly to match ever-changing business requirements. * While maintaining momentum, we care about shipping clean code and following best practices. This is my most important point. We're all engineers here, architecting code that solves problems worth solving. In General: * You can expect to hear laughter ring through the halls. Inside jokes will be born literally by sitting next to anyone at the office. * Speaking of our office, it's quite beautiful. It has a wealth of natural sunlight with balconies that let you effectively escape from your computer monitors. * You have access to any other department, including the CEO. Actually, you can expect to work with every other department, whether that's through a feature request from Sales, a bug report from Customer Success, or a Product meeting with our stakeholders. * We treat everyone with mutual respect. As a result, you can trust that your coworkers have your best interests at heart.

Cons

* You will sometimes be exhausted at the office. We're mostly okay with it. * Workplace diversity is an area requiring improvement. We can mark this one as "In Progress."

Pros

There are opportunities here for those who want want them, if you want to be complacent and sit in auto drive, this is not the place for you. The product is changing lives for many people that are struggling with student debt. Of the negative reviews on here, they seem overly exaggerated or malicious in their intent. -Perks are great -Pay -Stocked cupboard with snacks

Cons

Sometimes the different team members are moving so fast that communication seems to be lacking. Some need to take a second and make sure they understand or communicate their thoughts clearly.

Pros

Santa Monica promenade office. No need to actually hit any of your individual goals as your progression in the company is more of a popularity contest than being performance based (this is obviously a massive detriment and should belong in the "Con" category below, however, most of the current employees seem to use this flawed system to their advantage.)

Cons

Don't really even know where to start. I won't touch on the former CEO as he has been accurately and honestly reviewed in previous posts. The sales team doesn't seem to have a grasp on selling, which explains why the company's client list is stale (no large clients have been signed in awhile) and their largest competitor is eating up market share. The one individual who (consistently missed) her quota is now essentially hand to the king. Nepotism and favoritism run rampant here -- the review on 8/22/17 is spot on. The development team has been shrinking week after week, which is obvious because the product hasn't changed (or iterated) in forever. Our founding CTO just resigned because of the company’s lack of commitment to the product. Also, all of the recent "positive" reviews that are clearly trying to drown out the negative, accurate reviews, have obviously been written by people who've been employed by this company for less than 2 months. They'll soon find out that favoritism will ultimately define their future at Tuition.io. Can't wait to see the review in response to this that claims "this place rocks, etc.." PS over half of the photos on their website of current employees have all left for the reasons outlined above.
