There are too many cons for me to list them all so I'll just stick with the most important ones... so yes the $500 a week salary you get paid is great, but that's only true for the first 90 days during your probationary period when you're only working 40 hours a week; once your 90 day probationary period is over you're then required to work 10-12 hours a day - 6 days a week (60-70 hours). And because they pay $500 a week SALARY, they can make you work as many hours as they want and never have to pay you overtime. Now you do have the ability to make more money by earning commission but that's only if you can get enough sales! The requirements change month to month but on average you must make at least 4 sales within a week to even qualify for commission. And the sales are NOT easy to get because this company has a bad reputation of killing peoples grass and totally destroying their yards and people seriously do not like TruGreen... with no exaggeration I would knock on 120 doors in one day and out of them 115 would either slam the door in my face, scream at me, curse me out, threaten me, throw something at me, literally chase me down the street, or call the cops on me. The other con is there are no company vehicles for the sales people. You have to drive your own personal vehicle 100+ miles a day from neighborhood to neighborhood just so you can park on the street and walk from house to house knocking on doors. The b.s. this company puts their employees through and the crap they expect us deal with is absolutely ridiculous.
