Pros

Good benefits package Friendly corporate staff

Cons

-Commission % can change every 6 months. If you sell too many homes, your commission will be cut. The company has a cap on how much they want each New Home Advisor to earn. -The company pays below the 2% industry standard -VP and Sales Manager in Dallas are very slow to respond to emails or phone calls when you have questions for your buyers. -VP has a bad reputation in the industry and the Sales Manager doesn't like the VP, which makes the working environment very awkward. -Those who work in lay down communities are the favorites, but anyone could sell in those neighborhoods. -VP and Sales Manager have very poor communication skills which makes it difficult to do your job. -Sales Manager talks about VP behind his back constantly to the sales team which creates a contentious work environment. -Everyone starts out as a Junior New Home Advisor and if you make a sale as a Junior NHA, your commission goes to the NHA in your neighborhood and you get very little money. You do the work, they get the money. -Tri Pointe pays less than other builders. You will make more money at another builder. Don't waste your time here. -They will do anything to cut costs and save money. You can see this in the quality of the homes. Cabinets are the worst of any builder I have worked for. -Customer survey scores for Dallas are lower than most of the other markets in the company due to construction issues. -Sales staff is very unhappy but most don't say anything because of their backlog. Those who have left the company to work for another builder are happier and making more money.
