Pros

- Everyone is very kind - Lots of flexibility - Decent amount of bonus opportunity

Cons

- Base Pay is extremely low, not livable - Commission percentage is also extremely low, difficult to attain higher percentages and it resets monthly - No longevity with bonuses - No opportunity for salary increase - Not a lot of sales training - No mileage reimbursement or gas card - Do not provide tablet - Market for energy sales is extremely saturated. Businesses get tons of phone calls and other reps coming in. - Lots of scams in the energy market so most people are not interested. - Redundant morning meetings 3x a week that often end in monologues from one or two reps - Redundant group chat that makes you feel bad if you aren't doing well

We appreciate your honest feedback. We will never deny that outside B2B sales is a difficult job but can be very lucrative with hard work and dedication, which would be the case for most of the sales team in the Ohio market, which is why they have been with us for so long. We are sorry you feel like their sharing and information at the morning meetings feels like a monologue, but we try to incorporate their in field experience as part of the training as they live it each day. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss your other concerns in more detail or you can voice them during any of your scheduled check in calls with HR.

Pros

One of the best environments I've been part of for someone who wants to build a career in sales. You're set up to succeed from day one — the onboarding and training are genuinely strong, so you're not left to figure it out alone. The harder you work, the more you earn, and effort actually gets recognized here. Leadership is approachable and invested in seeing people grow, and there's a real path forward for anyone who shows up and performs. The energy is high, the goals are clear, and you're surrounded by people who want to win and want you to win too. If you're motivated and coachable, it's a place where you can grow fast.

Cons

It's a fast-paced, goal-driven environment, so it suits people who are self-motivated and energized by hitting targets more than those wanting something slow-paced.

Pros

One of the things I've appreciated most about working at Trelevate is how much the leadership genuinely cares about people at every level of the organization. From my experience, the president, vice president, and leadership team are approachable, supportive, and intentional about investing in their employees. They don't view people as numbers—they take the time to build relationships, encourage growth, and help individuals succeed both professionally and personally. Trelevate has created a culture where employees are valued, supported, and challenged to become better versions of themselves. The company invests heavily in training and development and strives to be more than just a workplace. It feels like a place where people can build meaningful careers while continuing to grow as leaders. I've also seen firsthand how committed the company is to promoting from within. Through my work helping with social media and internal communications, I've watched numerous employees earn promotions and advance their careers. There are genuine opportunities for growth, and leadership actively looks for ways to help people take the next step. Additionally, many of our roles involve business-to-business sales, which develops valuable communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills that benefit employees well beyond their current position.

Cons

Trelevate is a performance-driven environment, so success requires initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Those looking for a highly structured role with little personal accountability may find the environment challenging. Beyond that, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and it is difficult to identify significant drawbacks given the culture, support, and opportunities the company provides.
