Pros

Very kind, tight-knit team. Helpful mentors. Entrepreneurial culture, so laid-back atmosphere with high tolerance for diverse personalities. Attempting to disrupt the accepted stance of many firms in an intriguing industry, health it.

Cons

Unorganized project structure; my summer project was created impromput after on day of review. Not a very intrisnically motivating project given that I was required to do the same competitive analysis day after day for the entire duration of the internship.

Wow thanks for the feedback! We have learned through experience that it is difficult to fully engage college freshman-aged interns with high-value research projects. We gave it the old "college try" rather than giving much simpler projects that do not carry much value. (like unpacking boxes, sharpening pencils and packing the fridge with free snacks and beverages) In turn, we updated our company policy last November to no longer accept Freshman interns. We also are much more sensitive now in interviews to test for things like good spelling and focus. Our staff finds this to be an overwhelming improvement and we have hired one of the interns from your summer internship program who overperformed in every project assigned to her!

Cons

High octane startup vibes. If you're looking for a job where you can phone it in, look elsewhere.
