Pros

Smart, experienced, hard-working staff with expertise in the industry. Regular openings for qualified entry-level positions. Quiet environment, family ownership, company-sponsored events like picnics and annual holiday formal. Recent expansions and hires are broadening company's reach and clients (hospitals and hospital chains.) Working to adapt SaaS model for key parts of the business.

Cons

Work is steady, but can be repetitive for analysts/consultants. Much of the work done is cyclic, preparing annual financial reports and analyses. Typical late evenings/weekends as deadlines approach. HIPAA environment means extra care needs to be taken with all work, as any violations are financially and legally serious.

Pros

Company has made great strides in the past few years in the areas of training, innovation, efficiency, leadership structure and team-based service, with a team atmosphere. Improvements made by designating CFO, COO, Chief People Officer and other VPs responsible for various specialized service teams, while focusing more on its own people and teams specializing in specific services, yet providing and encouraging opportunities to cross-train. This has enabled people to focus more on the types of work they enjoy and do best. A focus on education has revitalized skills growth and opportunities for personal growth and advancement, and sharing and implementing innovative ideas is greatly encouraged and celebrated. Nationwide growth and evolving to remote work from many geographic regions has enhanced a sense of responsibility and trust among teams, and a focus on communicating, connecting and promoting employee health and well-being, and work/life balance has been highlighted. Work is steady and reliable, and the need for these services is constantly growing. Ample vacation/paid time off provided and good benefits. Employees at all levels are treated with respect and trust, and their intelligence and problem-solving skills are trusted and put to good use.

Cons

Government reporting deadlines result in certain times of the year being more work-intensive than others, resulting in a couple times of the year when it's difficult to take time off, but on balance, PTO is highly encouraged during the remainder of the year and leadership encourages keeping good work/life balance most of the year.
