Pros
Food gets catered often, ping pong, clean facilities
Cons
Where do I start??? If you work in after hours prepare to work ever single weekend, all holidays and never have evenings off. When I started I was told that after 6 months of proving myself I would have the opportunity to be promoted to a different department- never happened. There is a "no fault attendance" policy. A coworker's mother died and he got attendance points for going to the funeral. Another coworker got into an accident and in the ER for several days, he received points too. That's ridiculous. I've also never had a job where I have not gotten a weekend off or single weekend day off. I didn't even have 2 consecutive days off. Also be prepared for mandatory overtime. Micromanaging people seems to be what management is taught. If you're not on the phone for 30 seconds be prepared to get yelled at. Carriers do not need to be called 24/7 to make sure they are okay, they are adults they do not need baby sat. You constantly move desk and sit at day shift people's desk which is annoying, makes me feel out of place. There is zero diversity in the job. You answer calls from pissed off people 8 hours straight. You get talked to like you are dirt and threatened. Nobody in the company respects after hours employees. Brokers constantly talk down to us and cuss us out. Being in the military was less stressful than working at tql. The way people are treated disgusts me. There benefits from the company are pricey and average coverage. Give people incentives, take care of employees, and acknowledge hard work, maybe you will retain employees.
