In reaction to the COVID slowdown in the industry, Toast laid off a huge chuck of their workforce- the idea being to streamline operations, remove overhead, and contract out as needed to fill gaps. Word on the street, however, is that staff are overworked and given impossible task loads and customers have difficulty seeing their needs addressed.
FIE position: An absolute grind in terms of hours and travel. Pay was hourly-based, so the OT was very nice. But at times the schedule could be overwhelming.
