Pros
There’s a lot of pro’s working for Toast - Amazing benefits including parental leave with full pay, stock options worth serious money, and unlimited PTO. Clear paths to promotions. Recognition of your achievements from senior management. The biggest pro of all - Toast is honestly an amazing product. My customers are more successful because of Toast, and being able to believe in your product when you’re in sales can be hard to come by. Honestly incredible pay, it’s kind of crazy. If you hit quota you’ll make 6 figures, and 250k a year is very attainable. They always give huge bonuses for hitting your numbers, and recently added residuals on CC processing.
Cons
Management is out of touch with what the sales reps have to deal with on a daily basis. Our support has been outsourced and our customers are seriously struggling to find the help they need. That’s when they call us, and we spend hours working on customer service rather than closing deals. Since I started, quota has been doubled. I understand that if a sales team that hits quota every month will inevitably see higher quota’s, but we are going to start losing good reps soon because they can’t hit the ever changing numbers. We cut half the company in April and saw the best sales we’ve ever seen. I’d like to see a big push to hire back those teams that no longer exist! Criticism of other teams is absolutely not allowed. If I see an issue and report it, I always have a conversation. About doing my job - not theirs.
