Worst company to work for - Anonymous employee Thomas Cavanagh Construction Employee Review

Worked with a lot of fun people . Learnt a lot during my time there. Nice trucks and equipment.

I really liked my first couple years but I noticed over time that Cavanagh’s really just don’t care about the workers in the field. They like to broadcast that we’re a big family and Cavanagh cares but I have seen the way they weed people out around there and it’s pretty sad. You would think if they really cared for the workers that if they aren’t planning on having them back in the spring they would let them know when they lay them off at Christmas time that they won’t be coming back but instead they will sit people at home for months and then tell them oh sorry your going to have to find work elsewhere we don’t have enough work To go around and next thing you know they are hiring again! Absolutely horrible to do to people , times are tough and people who have worked for them for years expect to go back to work but doesn’t seem to phase them. It’s happened to many and then it happened to me so just a warning , they could do this to you too!
