Pros
The Washington Post is different, and working here feels special. You get the best of both worlds, culture-wise; a legacy organization with strong mission and values, combined with a recent injection of innovation and experimentation. The job is interesting, and truly different every day. It's just cool getting to work with some of the smartest people in the field, who are making a difference in our democracy. And on a superficial level, we have a fantastic building and workspace.
Cons
Healthcare is more expensive than at other places I've worked. Also, the annual bonus structure is pretty weak - better to negotiate your salary at the start than counting on a significant annual adjustment.
