Pros

Flexibility and excellent work-life-balance. People are humans first and while everyone are hard-workers, it is always ok to put your personal life first. Also, lean team allows for things to move quickly.

Cons

Lean time leads to a high workload and many things we could/should be doing are left off because of people's bandwith.

Pros

I was at The Sak for 8 years, and left for a new role that I couldn't pass up (and to move across the country). It's rare these days to find a company that still has its values instilled - puts employees first, and actually cares about their happiness and growth. The very low turnover rate is indicative of this. After several years at toxic companies and agencies, I was lucky enough to return to The Sak for a newly created role. Perspective is everything. Very happy to be back.

Cons

Now that we don't a commute, and I can work from the West Coast, no cons.

Pros

The Sak has some good things going for it in that you can work from home, it’s flexible, benefits are good and people are kind. It has a family-like atmosphere which has recently become increasingly toxic for a number of reasons.

Cons

Do not expect your expertise or professional opinion to be heard or valued. At this point you are simply there to carry out the whims of leadership, no matter how much they go against best practices or Business logic. Extremely frustrating and teams are always working urgently to put out fires and make up for delayed product and shortcomings with no time to properly plan and strategize. Company strategy changes month to month. When something fails, it is your fault, when something sticks, you do not get credit.
