Money is good on Saturday night and Sunday, but you'll definitely work hard for it.

This place is too big to run smoothly or efficiently, and it's really nobody's fault except maybe the owner, Beau built this monstrosity. The owner Beau doesn't tip either, however, he expects flawless service and for you to forget all your other tables for his table. ..and his guests are very needy. The managers are very short with you and have so many servers (500 tables in this place) that who could blame them? If your done serving food at 10PM, you still won't get out until 12:30-1:30AM because of all the side work with this massive place. So basically your doing tons of side work for 3 hours at 2.13 an hour. Your tipping out for bussers, even they go home at 9pm and you do their job most of the time because when it's busy, your bussing your own tables if you want to flip your table quickly for the next suckers to be fooled by the view. People quit left and right here because of the impossible task of running such a large restaurant. Hosts WILL quadruple seat you at peak times and you will not be able to keep up good service. That's the point of this place though, cram a ton of people into the doors with an enticing view, then give them terrible service and serve them food that's slightly better than Chili's. If your in the backyard or on the longhorn floor, there is NO air conditioning the entire day, and your customers will complain about it and ask to move inside which in turn forces you to give up that table and waste your time with no pay. During the day, it got to over 110 in Longhorn and there's no relief or breaks for you. There's a fan, but that's about it. I don't know how Beau doesn't get his restaurant shut down by ANY health inspector or worker's rights group yet. People sweep trash over the balcony into the trees next to lake Travis. If the kitchen has already been cleaned, they dump huge buckets of disgusting sludge over the balcony as well. I can't imagine what it looked like down there...and the smell. This place is a nightmare, steer clear or do a 3 months hit and run for some extra quick cash like I did (preferably the summer).
