Remote work opportunities is the ONLY pro I can think of. Other than that, my experience was very very bad.
Cons
This company actively recruited me from a competitor and then proceeded to lay me off along with others 2 years to the day after being hired. Nice huh? Classless and clueless. Huge micromanagement issue in GA office, specifically BTA and Blanket lines. Never in my 25 years have I dealt with more rude, demanding reps who will throw you under the bus. Did I say rude? UNrealistic expectations with regard to workload. Just because people on the team regularly work 10 hour days and weekends ( but will not openly admit to mgmt) just to manage their workload doesn't mean it's right. That's a problem. Wake up. Because you lost a GREAT employee. One that was loyal to a fault. Stay away from The Hartford. Big promises. Big disappointment. I wish I had stayed where I was. Oh and I was hired to Underwrite but my unit was doing everything BUT underwriting. Glorified admin job with very low pay. My knowledge and experience was wasted. I could Underwrite circles around other folks since I'm used to actually analyzing experience data and formulating case rates. Not just mindlessly punching numbers into a spreadsheet for a premium. Will NEVER have anything good to say about this place. I'm done being polite and nice. It feels good to be honest. They let me down big time. Unfortunately, I'm still out of work. Thanks for nothing Hartford.
