Pros

The work is not difficult

Cons

-Store Management Disorganization -Empty Promises of periodic reviews and growth meetings -Hired under false pretenses of advancement -Pay Rate is comically low, and untruthful about raises -Young company that has a lot to learn about retail and business - Complete lack of a break area If you like working with new to the workforce employees and management then this might be for you, however it really just translates into them being insecure and unable to accept any feedback at all about poor performance. The management team was so new and insecure that they appear to target anyone that might actually have real world experience and work together to push those people out. There is a real inner circle feeling here, members of store management live together in the same apartment. If you get a job here do not try to offer any unsolicited ideas, or even solicited ideas, they will just use those as a way to build a case against you to try to fire you. Store rules and guidelines change monthly, where you can and cannot eat, since there is no real break area, control room is constantly in disorder creating a poor work environment. Was stepping over boxes in the main control room for over a month before they started to do anything with them, was always told they were not a priority. Corporate sends too much inventory (shirts, games, etc.) for the location to handle effectively, so things are jammed in every corner and shelf. They do not support "creativity" or anything that goes against what their inexperienced store leadership may think is right. Expect the management to be allowed to speak to you however they desire, including in front of other employees, but then demand you follow their "Values". The management at the location was also great at micromanaging, if you are the team leader or anyone else for that matter, be prepared for the leadership to step into a situation they have zero knowledge of and try to take over, that can be anything from giving breaks, to resetting games, to assisting a guest. I could go on longer, however long story short, if you want a low paying job, where you deal with micro managing millennial leadership then this place should be low on the list, you can find better work somewhere else. Better money, better team, better opportunity, is had virtually anywhere.

Pros

The team itself and the coworkers were rad. Everyone is positive and supportive but not in a toxic positive way.

Cons

--its really bizarre policy to make your plus ones pay for the game...on training games. And do you get paid while training on a game? Nope. Ive never seen any other escape room operate that way and it came off so greedy that friends I brought almost questioned me working there. -very passive aggressive store management. Yes its important to have professionalism but management will get on you for petty small things that made no difference to the guest experience. They also dont seem to be familiar with workers laws in the location theyre managing. --starting out they'll send you home early rather than taking time to train you on everything. If its a tiny bit slow, you get cut. This makes pay incredibly unstable and the pay was already abysmal for the area. --I didnt mind company values at first but it rapidly becomes clear that their generosity and integrity values are only for guests, not for employees. In fact they'll be incredibly stingy towards you. --once your hours stop getting cut, if you've stayed in the trenches long enough, now they suddenly put you on for 11 hour shifts. And schedule requests are often ignored. --if I ever end up rich I want to buy the company out and run it better out of sheer spite.
