Lovely company to work for - Sales Assistant The Clinkard Group  Employee Review

The people I directly worked with are mostly wonderful, and they are the reason I look back in working there fondly. The shop itself wasn't too chaotic and we had regular costumers that made it a very familiar environment.

When I was promoted to manager I found out the recently hired supervisor was earning 50p per hour more then me. When raising an honest concern about a staff member to the regional manager I was told to go and tell that staff member directly and apologise for going over their head or they would do it for me. The higher ups were old fashioned and often misogynistic. A previous manager was forced to personally serve and provide discount to a man that had harassed her and followed her into the shop because he wanted her phone number. He complained to costumer service because he was unhappy with how "rude" she was.

-flexible -good communication with staff

-break hours seemed unfair. Had been pulled off lunch breaks a few times because the floor was busy.
