Pros
Honestly can't think of any apart from gaining some knowledge. Some flexibility regarding work hours
Cons
The boss is a nit-picking micromanager who brags about himself a lot and thinks he's god. Unsafe work practices, they had me climbing up ladders lifting 6 boxes of cheesecakes at a time over my head. In the kitchen they are supposed to use a hoist so we can safely lift and carry the huge commercial steel mixing bowls but because of lack of space and to save time the boss doesn't let anyone use the hoist. I left due to these practices tearing my rotator cuff and a tear in my glutes, no compassion was given as staff are easily replaced. I burned myself on the oven and was in pain and was scolded like a 4 year old when I did not want to put my burnt hand which was missing skin back into a bucket of grease to clean. No perks on the job. No discounts or perks given to the hard-working employees who make all the cakes and make him rich.
