Pros
TCG has some of the best people in the industry. By that I mean, they are great friends, awesome to work with, wonderful personalities, and just a good vibe for the most part. It actually is a lot of the reason why so many people choose to stay.
Cons
Once you get through the veil of "wow this place has awesome people" you'll really get to the rotting core of this place. Unfortunately I can not speak for every team and every department; however, there is a small core team of people with unfortunately abysmal leadership. Gaslighting, lying, and sabotage and setting one up for failure is a specialty. If you're new, or make a mistake you get bullied. And because of the sensitve nature of the job, and they kind of people you work with outside of the company, there is genuinely not a lot of grace for mistakes that get made which is unfortunate because it is intensive detail oriented work and people are only human. More on that Q4 in operations is an absolute nightmare. You don't REALLY get to enjoy your holiday because you're too stressed thinking about work and you better hope you don't have a micromanaging boss (which you do). Not exaggerating, your workload triples, and the expectation is that you work OVERTIME FIRST before setting the precedent with outside parties that things will be a little delayed because of the absolutely insane amount of volume. The pay is horrid for what you have to do and what youre expected to do, and don't bother fighting for more, that's their time to shine in the gaslighting and lying section. You want a promotion? be buddy buddy with upper leadership. You want a raise, you're waiting an entire year to get maybe in extra 20$ in your new paychecks. People stay because of trauma bonding in my opinion, but I really hope things improve over there. Happy to have moved on. I genuinely have PTSD from working here. Oh and if you're a woman like myself or a POC, you're dirt in the world of middle class old conservative white men. dont expect to be taken seriously at all
