Dear Former Employee
Thank you for your comments. I apologise that there was no one to attend to your comments in the past. I have taken note of them and will be incorporating them into our improvement programme. Because we do have more than 13 employees with more than seven years, there is a strong sense of a certain way of doing things. We do need to improve our new staff orientation and training. You must have been with us during a time when we were weak at the managerial level. The reason for you being exposed to the chairman’s ranting was that there was a lack of a management layer at that time. This resulted in new staff not being able to be onboarded properly. I am happy to say that we have good leaders for our different businesses now, as well as a layer of more experienced employees working well with the chairman today. Anyone joining us now will undergo a better orientation under the leadership of the respective managers. We are constantly moving into newer areas such as multimedia and digital, and so there is always a sense of learning something new. I also take into account your point about the unkempt Singapore office. We had been in the same building in Singapore for more than 15 years and we needed to spruce up the office, which we are doing now. The chairman keeps “yelling” at us to go digital and remove the clutter, and we are working on it. I am sorry that you thought that your experience was bad. Do contact me if you have other valuable suggestions.
Sincerely,
Hillary Tan,
