Pros
The individuals that work at Teladoc are great. Some of the product lines are great, and have potential to truly change healthcare. Work-life balance is good for most people, but not everyone. The mission is hard to beat.
Cons
Generally lower salary than most in industry. Management makes a lot of top-down decisions, and an agile mindset is generally lip-service only today, as teams are not self-organized, nor do they have a voice in the work. Technology choices are dictated and often not best-in-practice in the industry. Deadlines are often dictated to teams, and there are too many initiatives in progress at the same time that are all the top priority. Diversity in engineering is very low. The promotion and leveling process is not transparent, and the idea of hybrid work model (2 days required in office) isn't great.
