- The Hong Kong branch is run by a husband-wife team, which create conflicts of interest across various areas of the company. - There is a clear lack of formal internal communication and collaboration due to management blocking and resisting such initiatives. There is also a desire to not rethink the way the work has been done for many years. - Excessive micromanagement along with a lack of clear performance tracking tools and well-defined job expectations. The bonuses are not discussed and justified. - Negative attitude and inappropriate comments from management towards other teams overseas or own team member. - No job evolution possible as employees report directly to the husband and wife and salary will not be revised for at least 2 years after start date.
