Pros

The work at TRMG was often hectic, sometimes challenging, but they produced nice events-based magazines for some blue-chip clients that you could feel proud of at the end of the day. The office itself was nice and they didn't expect you to work late (not that you'd be paid overtime, but could claim time back as extra holiday). 99% of the people were nice to work with (there's always one or two bad eggs).

Cons

I thought compared to the wider publishing industry the pay was poor (especially when they cut-back staff and you were given more jobs/responsibilities without any pay increase). Sometime you felt pigeon-holed and career progression seemed limited.

Pros

TRMG offers a fantastic and authentic culture and work environment. The friendliness and humor is real, not forced and showing up to work feels good because of the environment created by the leadership. The management and ownership truly cares for the staff and will treat you fairly and professionally. If you can sell, your success is recognized and rewarded in a timely fashion. You'll be given responsibilities that match or exceed your abilities and you'll be given the space to grow into bigger shoes. New markets with a ton of opportunity, new, effective products to sell. Decent salary, health benefits, PTO, paid vacation, 401k match, bonuses, commission on all sales.

Cons

The parking situation is poor, some projects are undesirable, professional dress for a phone sales desk job seemed silly to me. Typical phone sales gig. Lots of calls, lots of nos, but the yeses do come and definitely pay the bills.
