Pros
- relocation package (first 2 months in a pretty good hotel, then moved to a flat in a good location with 10 other flatmates in the flat) - nice people at the same level working in the company - management of legal services with government after coming to a new country - pretty good work from home equipment - psychologists department available for workers on the floor
Cons
- project management never finding solutions to workers problems; I couldn’t take a single day off because we were constantly understaffed, once we got enough people in the team, they started ramping us down and while I waited for a transfer, I still couldn’t get my vacations booked - irritating HR portal where you need to tick 30 different boxes in order to get yourself a day off - policy of clean desk being harsh and letting you have only transparent water bottle on the desk (need to tear down the etiquette), - being “punished” by management with “action forms” when you didn’t stick your face to the computer - 2 months before my fixed term contract was ending I was made assured that my contract will be extended; 2 weeks before my contract expiration I received an email saying that it’s extended, and then just one day after I received another email that it’s getting terminated - I reached to my team leader, he didn’t know why did this happen and later that day it turned out, that the project is getting rid of my language department of team and everybody is getting kicked out. However there was just me that had their contract ending at that time and I had 2 weeks to find myself a new place to live with no perspective for a new job, - career advisor and team leader did nothing for me to help me in this situation, after I got fired I started applying for jobs, it turned out that there are still positions in the company for people with my language, where I could’ve been easily transferred, however I cannot get rehired to the same company for period of 6 moths after contract termination
