Pros

As a sales leader, you get to learn and talk to potential fashion customers and understand their problems and workflows.

Cons

- The company strategy changes monthly based on the mood of the CEO with no real data backing his decisions. This would've been fine except you are blamed for goals that were missed when you only have days/weeks to react. No one in the US has lasted more than 18 months with the company - You will not be given the right tools to do your job. CEO is a penny pincher, which is fine for startups, but not ok if he constantly questions your decision on why you need certain paid tools that cost less than a few bucks. - You will be micromanaged. The CEO will question your decisions even if he does not have any domain expertise in your field. He must approve your decisions before you move forward

Pros

Great work environment. Opinions and suggestions are respected and encouraged. Your voice is heard and work is appreciated. The team is self-motivated because they aren’t being micromanaged. The CEO promotes unity amongst the team and we feel valued for what we individually and collectively bring to the table.

Cons

It has been a pleasure working for The/Studio and the team that has been built. The CEO sets a standard of excellence for the team and provides all the necessary support and tools to obtain that, therefore at this time, I don’t have any cons.

Pros

Got to work with some very lovely customers and people.

Cons

They do not give strict work-hours because you will most likely be working 12+ hours per day. They will only tell you that it is a very flexible company when it comes to work hours, and that all they care about is that you finish all of your daily task and responsibilities, which is very misleading. They also seem to conveniently also show lower monthly sales numbers, meaning you will get a lower monthly commission than what you should be. More than 5 people "left" the company in my time there. There is also no room for growth within the company, as they believe in keeping it with a "start-up" internal organization, meaning you will basically do a lot and get paid very little for it. It seemed to me that it was easier for them to replace someone than want to give them growth/raise opportunities.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your experience at THE/STUDIO. We are glad you enjoyed collaborating with our customers and team members, but we would like to provide some clarity on the operational points you raised. For more than a decade, we have intentionally maintained a lean, fast-paced startup mindset. This environment requires significant agility and independent time management, which we know can sometimes lead to demanding days. We consistently aim to be upfront about the high-velocity nature of our workflows during our recruitment process so candidates can accurately evaluate if this style of work fits their goals. We also want to firmly address your note regarding our sales metrics. At THE/STUDIO, transparency is a core value, and our sales and commission data are strictly tied to real, verifiable performance metrics. We do not alter or manipulate numbers, and we take our financial commitments to our teams incredibly seriously. Finally, while our flat organizational structure means we focus heavily on individual execution rather than corporate layers, we always look to provide project expansion and growth opportunities for those who excel in a self-driven environment. For any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to our team directly at peoplesuccess@thestudio.com so we can look into it and address your concerns. We appreciate your contributions during your tenure and wish you success in your future endeavors.
