Pros
- Great way to get your foot in the door at larger companies that might not otherwise consider you for a direct hire position. - Pay from my experience has generally been competitive with market, if not exceeding it, but that might depend on where you're consulting. - Recruiting staff can be helpful, you're assigned certain staff to work with on HR/personnel matters which is nice.
Cons
-Many of Teksystems' roles are Contract to Hire, which means that there's no guarantee that you'll still have a job after the "contract" portion. -awful benefits, Teksystems health insurance is multiple hundreds of dollars per month for high deductible coverage. They offer an HSA to help offset costs, but they shouldn't NEED to do that in the first place. PTO Is very little if any at all - 5-10 days for most roles.
