Pros
At the lower level, you will probably never work with a better team of people. TDI seems to attract highly capable individuals with interesting backgrounds and great senses of humor, who are a genuine pleasure to work with.
Cons
You will have NO life outside of this job. Plus, even if everyone were working 40-45 hr workweeks, the pay is so low, especially for DC. Because this has been a vocalized issue for years and remains unchanged, it seems upper management doesn't care. In fact, it feels intentional. The plan seems to be (1) hire a lot of overqualified young people (2) underpay them (3) overwork them until burnout (4) rinse and repeat. Seems like upper management prefers this approach as it's cheaper than retaining and appropriately compensating employees. Everyone is stressed out of their minds, working weekends, working late into the night, etc. When you calculate the hours worked in relation to compensation, you are paid close to minimum wage.
