Pros
- Was a small and amazing team - Salary was excellent; perks like unlimited vacation and company supplied beverages, etc. were icing on the cake - Company seemed stable and like there was opportunity for career progression; a small enough team that you could turn your ideas into the role you wanted - Managers encouraged interaction between teams (i.e. marketing, development, support) - Nice office + ability to work from home when needed
Cons
- The CEO lost faith in the company after a disappointing product launch late 2017 - The CEO (when actually in the office, which was at best 10% of the time) would micromanage tiny details that were inconsequential, effectively wasting everyone's time - When inspiration struck the CEO, it was expected that you immediately drop everything you were working on to investigate what he wanted you to do instead, which is extremely disruptive to productivity - The CEO spouts "leadership principles" but doesn't follow any of his own writings - Employment contracts state you need to be contactable 24/7, which is extreme for most company needs in this industry
