Pros
I am not sure what the pros are.
Cons
Company Birocracy is hindering what should be a quick fix to a problem, they make you go through endless hoops and loops. All department heads are still the same from 30 years ago, there is no clear direction aside from the obvius. As a PM, you are in charge for everything related to the products without much help. There is no way to successfully manage all new developments and released items, which involves all types of issues, sales planning, inventory, testing, and answering bogus emails, and this is just a tip of it. You could work 24/7 and still not be done. Work is mandatory 9-6, you cold come as early as you want, but you are still expected to stay until 6, so I had to miss many, many family times and kids' practices because, if I want to leave earlier, I would have to enter vacation time off, even though I started at 7am. There is no Work from home policy, well, you could and is expected from you to work long hours, but if you work from home, between 9-6, that doesn’t count and you have to take vacation time. You ONLY get 2 weeks vacation and 1 week sick pay, regardless of whether you have just started or worked there for 30 years.
