Pros

1. The benefits are pretty good and better than most bigger companies. 2. Free bread every morning? lol 3. Stable job but not very exciting. 4. I believe in the company's vision. 5. Upper level management has solid goals and leadership.

Cons

1. You are expected to be at work after hours even when it is absolutely not necessary just for "face time". 2. Depending on what department you work for, it can be great or it can be hell. 3. Some employees can be quite aggressive in their attitude. 4. Most people aren't that helpful unless they are your "friends". It's like pulling teeth sometimes. 5. Turn over is pretty high for younger employees. The culture isn't a match to most millennials. 6. Parking can be lacking at times. 7. A lot of legacy workers that I feel don't do much but just milk the system until their retirement. Pulling a lot of dead weight. 8. A proper performance review system is quite lacking. Most big companies do vertical reviews as well as lateral reviews. 9. Work life balance isn't the greatest. I feel that if you take time off, you are judged for it.

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.
