Pros
The company is privately owned by the Suddath family, who from an altruistic standpoint is quite beneficial for many of their indigent employees. They provide free food for their employees in the morning and if you have a relative that works here, you are a shoe-in for a job.
Cons
This is a moving company and has trouble competing except in a few niche markets. It continues to shut its doors in many markets and out of 21 locations only 5 are operating at a level that is considered 'distinguished'. For true transportation professionals this is essentially the bottom rung on the industry ladder. Total time warp to the previous century with regard to philosophy, technology and progressive managerial acumen. If you are specifically educated you will find that you are in the minority. A poor culture where many of the incumbent employees feel they are too important to reply to an email, phone call or other forms of communication. In my short tenure at this company (less than a year) there were three layoffs and after being exposed to the process, it became quite apparent this company is one big fiefdom. If you are young and educated don't waste your time at this company.
