Pros

The people here are of a high calibre. Lots of experience, and very willing to help out. As an intern, I regularly feel imposter syndrome, but this team always supports me and looks for ways we can all succeed. People are willing to speak up when there's disagreement or conflict, and the leadership strikes a balance between seeking harmony in the team & moving quickly. I always feel like the people at Subskribe care about me. Lastly, the product (both the offering and the codebase) are of a good, clean quality and are nice to work with.

Cons

The benefits system is a bit confusing – they have excellent employee benefits (I believe posted on their LinkedIn), just make sure to ask about them and how to use them. Also, feedback could be increased. As a relatively junior developer, I'd like to know what I'm doing well and where I could improve. The feedback loop for developers lacks even a simple "here's what's good, here's what's not as good, here's a suggestion" structure, instead being very informal. Work hours are very flexible, but expectations aren't yet clear – this is a product of being a startup, so it's not a huge deal, but don't expect to have a clear outline of when it will and won't be acceptable to flex your time. It almost always is, and the team is very forgiving of course, but there's some social-cue-reading to be done.

Pros

- exciting cutting edge work in the RevOps industry - everyone is incredibly smart, and there is so much to learn - not just a code monkey. Developers get to have a very active role in product development and decisions. - solid tech stack that doesn't try to over complicate things, and is easy to make meaningful changes in - good benefits, especially stipends, like for fitness, health, learning, etc. - last Friday of every month off provides additional holidays

Cons

- would be nice to have a little more time off. It's not bad as is, but a little more would be nice. - stock vesting is a bit long (5 years instead of 4) - stock option bumps should be more frequent. Compensation can stay a bit stagnant.

Pros

They have an active focus on product and are trying to do the right thing.

Cons

Poor technical leadership. The CEO has values which aren't mirrored by engineering leadership. I joined the company as I was interested in their focus on rapidly shipping code but those were just words - and words are wind. In reality their tech stack was very fragile, they did manual releases, and engineering management often ignored or contradicted advice from engineering.
