Pros
I have enjoyed the efforts at building camaraderie in the workplace, and the sincere passion of the small company's involved leadership. Being veteran-owned is nice!
Cons
There have been hiccups with out-sourced payroll, including inaccurate paychecks, and pay being withdrawn from my bank account without notice (I had been overpaid, and notified them, and asked "what next" and then they just took the money back without communicating). No big deal, but annoying. There used to be more effort at having a "corporate culture" with things like meals/socials/holiday events. That has all evaporated... We don't have any swag. I want a lanyard or polo or stupid little squishy buffalo, or a coffee cup thanking me for years of service... hell, I'd even pay out of pocket for stuff, but nothing is available. I'm on a contract with fixed rates, and those rates are lousy, but it is not the company's fault...
