Pros

Great benefits, great customers, great partners

Cons

Poor management, poor communication from management to team, sometimes it is a “dog eat dog” kind of life with hours because of writeoffs but you “have to make” minimum menu items whether they sell or not and if write offs are high the hours are down and they cut people’s hours. Some shops have no room for growth at all. And won’t give you a raise.

Pros

It can be a pretty stable job. I’ve been for four years. Flexible hours. Holds your position for most extended leaves, vacations, and emergencies.

Cons

They know that business is going to slow down in the winter and take hours away from the store every year punishing good workers with heavy hourly cuts each week which puts a dent into everyone’s hard earnings. In addition to this cutting hours every season leaves the store very understaffed quite regularly. Their interest in profits over employee retention and well being is a driving factor in me leaving.
