Pros

Your fellow RBTs and clients.

Cons

This place is going to close down after 2 more BCBAs quit and I am laughing and can't wait until that happens. They have not been able to hire any BCBAs in several months and so many have quit and will continue to quit. I can say most people came to this company because of the paid breaks and pay, but those have been cut hence why most people are leaving. The owner took a client to her house to spend the night..I know what everyone is thinking (super professional) . The state director stepped down because she had to think about a lot because she was rude, unprofessional, and never thought about her actions and guess what she took 1 entire day. The entire upper managment made a video to the company where they were straight up reading scripts and every RBT watched the videos while working and laughed and said that. We get 1 sick day every 90 days (again a joke) They straight up read off google the average number of PTO per year which if you ask around everyone you know gets more PTO than the average on google. This place is a complete joke. It is funny that some people think this place is still a great place to work when in reality it is just a paycheck.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we appreciate hearing different perspectives, it’s important to address some of the points you’ve raised in a professional manner. At Stepping Stones Behavioral Solutions, we strive to create a positive and supportive environment for all our staff and clients. It’s disheartening to hear that you feel so negatively about your experience with us. We recognize that the attitude and mindset of individuals can significantly impact the workplace environment and team dynamics. It is particularly disheartening to hear that you hope the business closes down, which would result in children losing their education and staff losing their jobs. The reason I created Stepping Stones was to make quality education accessible to those who need it but can’t afford it and to create jobs for passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference, not just seeking benefits. The turnover of BCBAs and changes in benefits are challenging issues. Our decisions are driven by external factors, such as Medicaid cuts, which have necessitated some difficult adjustments. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to providing quality care and support to our clients and staff. Our policies and procedures are designed to ensure the best outcomes for everyone involved. The use of paid breaks and fair compensation practices are part of our effort to balance financial sustainability with employee satisfaction. We strive to maintain professionalism and transparency in all our communications. It’s unfortunate that our efforts to communicate openly and honestly were perceived as insincere. As for the claim about a child coming to my house, many of my friends have children who attend the school and are friends with my kids. If this was a concern for you at the time, I wish you had brought it to my attention directly so I could address it. We acknowledge that change can be difficult, and we are continually working to improve our practices and policies. If there were specific actions or behaviors that you found troubling, we would have appreciated the opportunity to address them directly and constructively during your tenure with us. Stepping Stones does not have a place for negative mindsets. We encourage open and respectful dialogue and invite current and former employees to share their concerns in a manner that fosters growth and improvement for all. Constructive feedback is essential, and we are always here to listen and learn. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

Stepping Stones Behavioral Solutions isn’t a perfect place to work, but it does a lot right. The pay is competitive for the field, and positions are consistently full-time, which provides stability that’s hard to find in similar roles. One of the biggest advantages is the work-life balance—especially for an in-clinic setting, it’s one of the better options out there. The schedule structure includes built-in breaks (even though they’re unpaid), which can actually be a plus if you plan ahead. If you like to travel or need extended time off, you can coordinate those breaks with your PTO to stretch your time or even take advantage of PTO buyout options. That flexibility makes a big difference over time. At the end of the day, the work we do is meaningful and impactful. While there are typical workplace downsides, the stability, pay, and work-life balance make it a strong option—especially if you’re looking for a reliable, clinic-based role

Cons

challenges. You’ll work with a mix of personalities—some coworkers you’ll genuinely enjoy being around, and others you may not connect with as much. That’s just part of any job environment.
