Pros

It is a job versus unemployment at the cost of your joy, passion and integrity. If money means more to you than these things, it's perfect.

Cons

This company has a CEO that is more concerned with boasting about her status as a "millionaire" than she is with the welfare of clients and employees who tirelessly serve the company whose backs it is run on or improving and perfecting the buisness that allowed her to reach this point. SSBS Company policies change on a whim and are always in favor of the profit of the company without regard to employees or the impact to clients who trust in the company. Management, in conjunction with these ever changing policies, is also increasingly toxic. Self care and work life balance is nonexistent since management will encourage overworked employees to provide free labor regularly, by expecting and requiring them to perfom the duties and workloads of multiple job titles without additional pay, support or time to accomodate the additional responsibilities that are never reflected in their employeement contract agreements. This is all so that the CEO & SSBS can benefit by saving the money that should be allocated towards the salary of the intended roles they've cut and now force unqualified staff to abruptly take on for free. When these same untrained unqualified employees slack or become emotionally and psychologically overhwelmed ultimately being confused, unprepared or flat out unable to do both roles, they are belittled, condescendingly or demoted. For example an RBT can be expected to perform for no additional pay, the tasks and responsibilities of a clinical manager or a trainer can be expected to work as an RBT thus prolonging their ability to perform their own role tasks and responsibilities as well as prolonging their ability to attain their necessary hours for BCBA licensure. BCBAs can be expected to also perform the responsibilities of multiple roles without pay or consideration for the impact saving a buck has on work performance and endurance in an already strenuous field. The corruption within this company only becones exponential as it leads up to the CEO. There is consistent favortism with both clients and employees despite the verbal front of pretending that nepotism is to be explicitly avoided. SSBS is also blantantly misleading in their job postings since their salaries and benefits are being reduced. The CEO is promoting enhanced benefits and pay to attract new unwitting employees who don't know the truth disclosed herein this review. Employees are also manipulated into providing false praise for the comany to mantain the "great place to work facade." The reality is that this company has decided they will now be discharging clients with the greatest needs who demonstrate more problematic behaviors. Clients like this need ABA the most and these clients will now face being dropped. It is heartbreaking. This is a company that kills great hearts and good people who are born for the work. They do this by overwhelming and overworking great people so much that they begin to burn out and feel trapped because they never want to walk away from or give up on their clients. The longer they remain they have no choice but to face working 8 hours days followed by hours of unpaid work at home just to try to keep up with the demands of the workload and ever evolving inconsistencies not comsidering the mental strain.m of enduring all this. There have been excellent clinicians, and workers who have left after reaching their breaking point and some of them were also at the top and able to forewarn others about ethical and integral breakdowns leading to the CEO who appears to be publicly unraveling or enduring a mental break or possibly just finally abandoning the facade of hiding her true colors. If you believe in ABA and the work please for your own sanity and joy of this field. DO NOT APPLY.

Pros

Stepping Stones Behavioral Solutions isn’t a perfect place to work, but it does a lot right. The pay is competitive for the field, and positions are consistently full-time, which provides stability that’s hard to find in similar roles. One of the biggest advantages is the work-life balance—especially for an in-clinic setting, it’s one of the better options out there. The schedule structure includes built-in breaks (even though they’re unpaid), which can actually be a plus if you plan ahead. If you like to travel or need extended time off, you can coordinate those breaks with your PTO to stretch your time or even take advantage of PTO buyout options. That flexibility makes a big difference over time. At the end of the day, the work we do is meaningful and impactful. While there are typical workplace downsides, the stability, pay, and work-life balance make it a strong option—especially if you’re looking for a reliable, clinic-based role

Cons

challenges. You’ll work with a mix of personalities—some coworkers you’ll genuinely enjoy being around, and others you may not connect with as much. That’s just part of any job environment.
