Pros

product expense benefit and $300 annual health&wellness benefit to buy workout clothes, a massage, etc etc

Cons

Such a toxic environment. Seriously, in the office we joke about it being called “Spindrift High”. The people here are so immature and toxic and create a highschool-like environment. The most unprofessional environment I’ve ever worked in. If you can secure a remote position, you’ll be fine. If you’re going to be in the office, I hope you have thick skin and are prepared for constant chaos, BS and gossip. The leadership and managers here have ZERO training on how to be people managers or provide any guidance. Don’t get me started on how they lead a team…. it’s awful and needs a LOT of work. Leadership if you’re reading this… take some budget to send these people to manager workshops…. it’ll be worth the money i promise. Leadership favors the people who have been there a long time, even though they are all quite literally awful at their jobs! People are promoted to people managers without proper training. Look around and notice who leaves the company….. YOUNG WOMEN! Why? Because they are treated like complete sh*t by the older women on their teams. They are bullies. The constant whispering and sh*t talking by women in senior positions is completely unprofessional. These women will never amount to anything in their career other than running younger women out of the Spindrift company. Congrats!!! If you’re looking for a company where you can climb the ladder or even get a promotion- THIS IS NOT IT. They will not promote you or give you a raise - even when you’re doing your managers entire job because they phone it in :) They’ll promote the manager instead! Looking for a manager who will guide you in the direction of growth and success? Not gonna get it here. They are too busy running around like chickens with their heads cut off to worry about providing support to younger professionals! Work/Life Balance? No thanks. If you’re looking to join the marketing team you are headed straight for a role where you’ll be expected to give every single detail of your life and whereabouts at all times. It’s actually weird how they want to know every detail of your life. Expecting leniency to work from home for a good reason? NOT GONNA GET IT HERE!

Pros

Good product and some good people

Cons

Lack of leadership competency: Key decision-makers lacked understanding of DSD, retail chain dynamics, and national account strategy. Leadership routinely ignored feedback from experienced field employees. No real support or resources: Impossible expectations with no tools, training, or internal alignment. “Figure it out” culture that rewarded survival over strategy. Toxic internal politics: Promotions and titles were based on favoritism, not merit. Inexperienced individuals were elevated to VP roles with no qualifications, leading to micromanagement and disorganization. Gaslighting culture: Constant invalidation of concerns. Promises of growth, recognition, and support were made and never followed through. No career development: Zero investment in professional development or mentorship. Burnout was common, especially for those carrying the weight of multiple departments. Eroding values: What started as a mission-driven company slowly became performative. Diversity, transparency, and accountability were talked about but never acted on.
