Pros

Fantastic Services. Employees who actually work with the customers are compassionate, caring people who truly want to help and go out of their way to do so.

Cons

Management unnecessarily makes the job of the fieldworker extremely difficult because they typically forget to serve the customer and the teams they have employed in favor of serving their own politics, agendas, and careers. The reason the burn-out rate in Human Services is so short/high is not because of the population served, but the mismanagement and utter lack of intelligent, compassionate, team-oriented leadership in higher level positions.

Pros

The organization has a great mission that does make a huge impact on the community. Department managers are incredibly kind and patient people who make the best of what they are given.

Cons

Zero career advancement opportunities. The current Executive Director is single-handedly destroying what could be a delightful place to work. She micromanages every aspect of the organization and will not hesitate to be disrespectful or demeaning when she thinks she knows more than you do - whether that’s true or not.
