Pros

The publication usually turns out beautifully put together. If you are a workaholic and do not enjoy spending time outside of work doing anything personal or with family then this is a great job for you.

Cons

Terrible professional experience. Salary was decent but well below competitive. Had to work around 60-80 hours a week which meant the employees work for less than minimum wage. Don’t expect to ever get any health or dental benefits. No 401K. Vacation time will be allowed after a certain amount of time but you’ll never actually be able to take it. Expect to always work on your lunch break. Expect to work when you get home at 10pm after working in the office all day. Expect to work during your daily commute. In fact, expect to be “on call” at all times. There is no work-life balance. That concept does not exist at South. Heavy micromanagement. Expect to train and retrain employees but receive no proper training of your own because of the revolving door. You will soon learn that this company has a terrible reputation for employees only lasting weeks or maybe a few months. Don’t expect to grow or thrive in this environment. Don’t expect raises.

Pros

A Small group so we collaborate often. Everyones ideas and input is valued. No one is overlooked. We function well as a team and are able to produce beautiful things together.

Cons

Can sometimes be high stress, especially near deadlines or events.

Pros

Looks great on a resume, so long as no one researches and peeks behind the curtains.

Cons

Toxic and vile. Lying, cheating, and literal stealing going on, not to mention incessant drug use and upper management's penchant for playing with pocket knives while hovering behind employees sitting at their desks just trying to do their jobs. Super weird.
