Cons

Call centre management are bullies. Been added into a secret whatsapp group to gossip but only those in the 'clique' know about this. Constantly gossiping and backbiting about their staff. Very unprofessional and rude behaviour from management, openly discussing confidential employee information in office and asking others'to keep quite about it'. Constantly seeing new staff not even given the correct training. Manager gossiping about what employees have planned or done on social media. Different rules apply to managers favourite employees. Manager rude, didn't even acknowledge her employees, other than those who were in the 'clique' The Prescription department has a high turn over of staff, and I'm sure they're aware of the reasons why, yet choose to be oblivious.

Pros

Team were welcoming, friendly and happy to help when needed. Onboarding was fairly easy. WFH with occasional trips to the office. Pay was good.

Cons

HR & Finance don't talk to each other and are both unable/unwilling to help with issues and it's almost impossible to get replies from them. It took almost 2 months to rectify a pay issue create by them when I left. No one appears to understand leave allowances and there are problems for FTC staff at the end of every financial year or when they leave their role. A lot of the team were overworked and people weren't replaced when they left. Far too many of the team on reduced hours, leaving the slack to be picked up by the few that worked full time or didn't have children. No overtime paid, TOIL given at managers discretion. IT - equipment was awful, and I was told I should switch my laptop on whilst on leave to allow for updates (I wouldn't be paid for this). I still lost on average a day a week to IT issues.

Pros

Supportive of further training, provide free flu vaccines for staff.

Cons

Job descriptions are not accurate. Their approach to work is strict and outdated, a "it's always been done this way" attitude. Little opportunity for casual dress, work-from-home arrangements, or a relaxed atmosphere, which might not suit employees looking for a modern work culture. The HR department loves doing things the old way and have not caught up with the times.
