Pros
Outstanding product and business model - best in the industry, soon to be manufactured in the USA. Practically giving it away, as the product and service costs less than most utility company bills.
Cons
SolarCity is no different than any other corporation. In-fighting is embarrassing. OneTeamOneDream is preached, not practiced. Territorial wars emulate the maturity and emotional capacity of toddlers, making it difficult to take management at any level seriously. Efforts to communicate and help are ignored and dismissed. This company wants numbers. Managerial qualifications are based solely on sales, rather than actual managerial experience or competency. If Michael Scott was real, SolarCity would hire him. Profitability is important, but SolarCity's unending lust for sales cannot be satisfied. No amount of success is acceptable. One minute they boast of unprecedented sales exceeding all expectations, then the next they are hammering on reps to sell more! Extra push! Grow! Hit record numbers! All under threat of termination. IT is unresponsive. They allow warehouse offices outside headquarters to flounder with production-impeding technical issues for months. If a local office suggests a solution, it goes ignored. If an attempt to implement said solution is put in motion, it is overridden. Next thing you know corporate ships cheap, consumer-grade IT products to the office without explanation.
