High expectations and low pay - Employee Small Door Veterinary Employee Review

Pros

Practice and remote teams are an amazing and diverse group of people. They truly are the most enjoyable part of the job. The managers for these teams are also pretty great. They really look out for you and want to help you succeed.

Cons

Expecting superior work for minimal pay. There is no regard for the current cost of living, even though all practices are in fairly wealthy and high cost of living areas. Most upper mgmt/HQ employees are extremely overpaid and don’t do nearly as much work as all the support teams aka the people keeping the company going. You are expendable. You can do great work, express concerns over not making enough to pay your rent and feed yourself and they will happily watch you walk away without a care and just hire someone else.

Thank you so much for this, it really means a lot to the whole team. We work hard to create an environment where people can do their best work without burning out, so hearing that it shows means we're on the right track. And we love that you want to refer friends! Growing our footprint is very much part of the plan, so hopefully that con won't last too long. At our last all hands we shared the new locations were expanding into! So glad you made the change. Pros

There was so much to do. There isn’t an idle time so you’ll never be bored.

Cons

Processes are slow. We still do things manually, feels like working in the ice age! I don’t understand why management still couldn’t figure things out when they’ve been operating for years! Working here is ridiculous!
