Pros
- You with a great set of people who are easygoing - Solid work-life balance - ERG's and useful training resources
Cons
- Strung out interview process (you'll talk to at least 4-6 people) - Very cliquey - Blatant favoritism to seniored employees - Management puckers up to the higher ups, "brown-nosing" I believe is the term people are using these days - For YEARS they sold themselves on not laying people off only to end up doing silent layoffs - Career growth is very stagnant - Compensation could be more competitive based off of what other consulting companies are paying their employees - Talent acquisition team is thrown under the bus for an uncontrollable, slow job market - HR is practically useless and is not your friend If you were to look up reviews on Slalom say maybe 1 year ago around early/mid 2023...you would see nothing but 4/5-star reviews and (for the most part) rightfully so. The company seemed to actually care about its employees, you were able to move roles within the company, and they also believed in remote work. However fast forward to late 2023 - current day, as an employee who was one of the first to wrongfully be let go, it has been bittersweet seeing all of the new set of reviews come in. A beautiful disaster if you will....almost like seeing a totaled Lamborghini. Slalom sells you on this "culture" facade which is nothing but smoke in mirrors. Your best bet is to make friends with your People Manager (boss) and their boss(es) because you are only as good to them are you are useful.
