Pros
I worked at Skirt PR for the winter internship. My favorite part about the internship was the final internship project. It was a hypothetical lifestyle/fashion brand client where I created a full-year PR plan. The project was something I referenced in multiple interviews when applying for full-time positions post-graduation.
Cons
There isn't much room to grow with the company (unless you get lucky and someone leaves right as you are finishing your internship). A lot of the days I found myself not having much to do and even offered to help out the other interns with their work. The office itself is beautifully decorated and fun but I found the office culture to be a little boring - there was always light music to fill the silence because people preferred to send emails or chat messages rather than talking in person. I felt ignored many times as the rest of the office would meet in the conference room for different services from their clients or birthday/farewell celebrations and the interns would not be invited. After sending along work or projects there wasn't much feedback given from my manager other than a quick "thank you."
