Pros

The company has a lot of potential increasing its micromanagement capabilities by importing more and more micromanagers in North America

Cons

If you’re eyeing a job at Sino Biological, do yourself a favor and trust all those 1-star reviews. The 5 star rating helps this review to be on top. Management here? Dishonesty is practically a job requirement. Unless it's in writing, consider every promise a fairy tale. You’ll see a new face every other week because the turnover is so high you could swear the doors revolve. They’ll call it “fast-paced and growing,” but it’s just unplanned chaos dressed up in corporate lingo. Forget work-life balance; you’re clocked in even when you’re off the clock, and the HQ in China runs the show down to the second. The products? Don’t get me started. The quality of both goods and the people selling them is abysmal. And the so-called “PhDs” in marketing? They should just gut the entire department like a fish and start fresh (Fish & Fresh!!). There’s nothing innovative, just layers of egos chasing meaningless titles. Oh, and the cherry on top: the whole company bows to the whims of one person. Every decision, big or small, is based on how the wind blows that day. Do yourself a favor: walk, no—run away from this place. Trust all those 1-star reviews—they’re your best guide here.

Pros

Colleagues are amazing. Most colleagues are friendly and good at their jobs. Some great people to learn from. Salary and commission are not bad. Good opportunity to learn about the overviews and landscape of the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Small to mid-size biotech, so it’s easier to build relationships with colleagues. And thus, there are more flexibility in working style and more direct conversations with the management/decision-making level.

Cons

It’s a small size biotech so the benefits are definitely not comparable to some large companies, but the salary and commission are not bad. For people who used to more guidelines and well-defined tasks, this may not be for you.

Pros

I learned a lot about the life sciences industry and gained experience working in a fast-paced environment. The job pushed me to learn new things quickly and take on different responsibilities. There are hardworking and knowledgeable people at the company, and the industry itself is interesting and meaningful.

Cons

Employees are not always trusted for the expertise they bring to the role. A lot of time is spent on repetitive or low-level tasks that don’t match job responsibilities. Management seems more focused on appearances and metrics than on long-term planning or employee growth. The culture can feel very micromanaged, and communication between teams is often poor. It can be difficult to feel valued or heard as an employee.
