Pros

Really awesome group of people, with great core values. Super focused on giving back to their community. Charitable events are monthly and mgmt gives back 50% of employee's time in PTO, if they participate in charitable events. Free snacks, healthy mindset. Hardworking group but really focused on balance, as long as the work gets done. Management is great and focused on growing individuals. CEO leads with his mind and heart. Great place to be. I'd rec'd this place to friends.

Cons

No stark cons. If someone is used to working at a large organization, they may struggle with a smaller environment.

Pros

Silex is a great company to work for. Management truly values their employees and puts employee satisfaction high on their priority list. Work-life balance is recommended, and diversity is celebrated. The pay is competitive as well. During the pandemic, the CEO and managers have been taking employee health seriously. They quickly transitioned to remote work and will not go back in office until it is safe. We have virtual engagement activities and events to keep morale and connection going. The company stays involved in the community through all kinds of fundraisers and events, which makes me proud to be a Silex employee! In terms of company success, they continue to meet and exceed goals, and reach new customers.

Cons

I can't think of cons, especially since if any concerns are raised within the company, management takes it seriously and works to improve and make sure employees are happy. If you prefer working for large companies over smaller, family-like teams, the transition may be different for you, but I have worked with both and am enjoying this environment.
