The COO is out of touch with reality. Despite being my hiring manager, he:
- Prepared 0 onboarding of any kind; it was very much "Go talk to someone else, I'm too busy", all while complaining about how I wasn't doing enough despite having no action items
- Constantly denigrated/slandered of *all* other staff members; consistently calling them incompetent, lazy, unmotivated, or useless. This included other C-suite members, such as the CFO, whom he stated "had no idea what he was doing" despite being in the same peer group.
- Refused to read any documents, emails that were long-form, or presentations; it was a known meme within the company that he demands absolute transparency, and zero accountability for himself
- Made it known that he was "untouchable"; he frequently references how "Deborah has never told me no; she is in *MY* corner" as a means of intimidating others for speaking up against his tyrannical practices.
- Rejected any/all feedback, instead citing it as "excuses" despite including valid complaints relating to targeted hiring ranges, staff composition, timelines, etc.
I have never worked under anyone as toxic in my career. I resigned within 60 days of my start date.
