Pros

The people in the developing countries that are helped by the society. The investors themselves are nice people.

Cons

The CEO rules with an iron fist and anyone that falls out of favour are soon out of a job. Those that suck up to the CEO are given special treatment. The bullying and intimidation that takes place within the office are enough to force people out of jobs which I have seen a couple of times. This really goes against the principles of the society and its a shame its ran so badly from the top down. The management team are too scared to stand up for what is right in fear of losing their jobs. I would genuinely walk around Newcastle city centre to waste time before going into work because I dreaded going into the poisoned atmosphere of the office. It should be a great place to work because of the principles it was founded with but its not. The culture and atmosphere there is toxic and I am very pleased to have left.

Pros

Helps people in need around the world.

Cons

Rules, rules, rules!! And more rules! Two minutes late back from lunch and an email is sent to your manager. It is actually that bad. I have never witnessed such bullying in all my career. The MD and the senior managers are so driven by outdated rules and never stand up to the bullies in the office. They actually promote them! The way they waste members money to send their favourites on trips around the world is appalling. Toxic atmosphere that will never change. Zero compassion for staff. Zero flexibility. Not ethical in the slightest! Avoid at all costs.
